Whipcode Jobs LLC ("we," "us") operates the Whipcode Jobs job-alert service. This page explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
Account information. Email address, and a hashed password if you sign up with one. We never store your password itself — only a one-way cryptographic hash of it.
Profile details. First and last name, country, and phone number if you choose to add and verify one. All optional except where a feature specifically requires them.
Telegram identity. If you connect Telegram, we store your Telegram user ID so we can send you alerts there.
Job search preferences. The alerts you create — search terms, locations, platforms, and freshness settings — and the postings we've matched and shown you.
Usage data. Which postings you've marked applied, interviewing, or offered, so the pipeline feature works.
How we use it
To run the actual product: matching jobs against your alerts, delivering them by email, web, or Telegram, and letting you track your applications. We also use your email for account-related messages — verification links, password resets, and service notices.
Third parties we use
We rely on a small number of services to operate: an email delivery provider to send verification and notification emails, an SMS provider if you choose to verify a phone number, and Telegram's own platform if you connect a Telegram account. Each only receives the minimum information needed to perform its function — for example, the email provider sees your email address and message content, not your password or job search history.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share your job search activity with employers, recruiters, or any third party for marketing purposes.
Your rights
You can review and edit your profile information at any time from Settings. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — alerts, matched postings, and application history — from the same page, with no need to contact us. If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have rights under GDPR to access, correct, or export your data; email us and we'll handle it directly if the self-service tools don't cover what you need.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes it permanently and immediately — this isn't a soft delete or a 30-day grace period, it's gone.
